Dear All CIR M04/02: BRIEFING ON ISKANDAR/SOUTH JOHOR ECONOMIC REGION (SJER) BY MCA JOHOR (FEB 9, FRI) MCA Johor will be organizing a briefing on ISKANDAR / South Johor Economic Region (SJER) as follows: Date:Feb 9, 2007 (Fri) Time;2:45 pm Venue:Danga Coast Boat Gathering Point:Danga Street, Danga Bay, Johor Bahru South Johor Economic Region (SJER) is the new southern development corridor in Johor & was established on July 30, 2006. It is also known as Iskandar Development Region after Sultan Iskandar of Johor. The Sultan had launched the SJER project at Danga Bay on Nov 4, 2006 & Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi was present. MCA Johor will invite government officer to brief and elaborate on the SJER development plan. There will be a dialogue with all invited participants so that the local businessperson understand the whole plan and know how to capture the opportunity contributed by such development. Please be noted that punctuality is greatly appreciates as we need to board a boat to reach the briefing venue.
