CIR 06/01:  LIST OF PARTICIPATING BANKS FOR RM500 MIL LOAN

The government has announced a RM500 million soft loan to the flood victim to revive back their businesses.  The loans carry a low interest rate of 2.5% and no collateral or guarantee required.   Most commercial banks are now open for application of the loan.  The application will take 14 days.  The closing date is March 31, 2007.  CGC will guarantee up to 80% of the loan and 6 months grace period is given.

However, after the announcement, many SMI companies who were affected by the flood, having difficulty to access to relevant source or personnel for application details. Due to this, our Association was prompted to compile the banks’ details and enclosed is the list of participating banks and their contact person:

We hope the list will ease the SMI companies to obtain more information on the loan and speed up the application process. It is advisable for SMI companies to approach and arrange the loan with their existing banker to secure immediate attention & possibly faster approval.
 
The association hopes all Johor businessmen affected by the flood will come forward to apply for the loan as it the loan can help them to revive back their business.
