SMEJS TRADE MISSION TO VIETNAM

CIR M06/07: THANK YOU – TRADE MISSION TO HCM CITY (JULY 8-12)

The associations wish to extend our gratitude and thanks to all 43 delegates that contribute to the great success of the SMEJS Trade Mission to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which was held from July 8 July 12, 2008.  We are sorry that we had no choice but to turn down some registration as all the available seat had been taken up due to the limited bus capacity.

The mission met it program objectives as the mission had manage to get some fact and figure regarding investment in Vietnam, obtained some basis understanding on how to enter to Ho Chi Minh City (HCM) and have the opportunity to meet the relevant authority there.  The mission had also builds a good networking with Malaysian who had invested in HCM.  We also observed that there is good networking among the delegates.

Currently we are at the final stage of preparing the full and final report to MATRADE and we will advice later about the MDG claims procedures.

We wish to congratulate and thanks the Working Committee who had put up so much efforts and commitments toward the success of this mission.

To all delegates, we wish to note that it was a pleasure meeting up with all of you.  We hope it had benefited you in some ways.  Thank you for your relentless support toward our events.
