GST Registration Rises To 100,787 As Of Oct 22
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- The number of companies registering for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was at 100,787 as of Oct 22, an increase of 429 from the previous day, said the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
In a statement here Thursday, it said the latest data showed that more companies were registering for the GST to meet the Dec 31 deadline.
The government's target is to get 140,000 companies to register under the new tax structure to be implemented on April 1, 2015.
